Chris Cartwright - Chairman

Chris, a Chartered Accountant, brings over 30 years of experience in the City to Cityexec. His City career began with L. Messel & Co., as a Partnership Accountant, then he became a Mining Analyst and Institutional Salesman. At Wood, Mackenzie & Co. he specialised in the Oil Sector and later, under the ownership of Hill Samuel, Chris was the architect of a new Market Making Division which transferred to NatWest Markets (then County). Chris became Managing Director of NatWest Securities with responsibility for Risk.

More recently, he joined Paribas as Head of Global Equity Securities with responsibility for Research, Sales and Trading. He sat on the Capital Markets Group Management Committee and represented the company on Stock Exchange and BMBA committees.

He founded Cityexec in 1994.



 

Miles Nicholls - Managing Director

At Cityexec Miles brings a wealth of experience in capital markets trading processes, international financial IT and business management understanding to the client base. He is responsible for analysing client requirements, and ensuring that the right candidates meet with the right clients.

Previously, Miles was Sales Director with Perfect Information (PI), a global equity analytics provider where he was instrumental in integrating a key acquisition into the core business, ultimately delivering record profits to PI.

Prior to this, he headed the Sales and Trading team at Thomson Financial responsible for their electronic trading suite of products.

His 18 years in the City have also included sales and marketing roles with Bloomberg, Dow Jones Telerate and D&B.
